I just want to let you know. If you look in 2018, Nancy Pelosi, she used the Magic Minute to speak for over eight hours against the suspension of the Dreamer program. More recently, Kevin McCarthy used it to speak for over eight hours in opposition to the Build Back Better plan.
This is a tradition in the House for over 100 years. It is not codified into law, but both parties respect it as tradition. It was started in, I believe, 1909 by Minority Leader Clark.
