Hello Hello awesome people of the Hive!
Halfway through my day, I took this picture. This is my entry for the
Qurator's Photo Quest | Yellow competition. If you would like to know the rules and how to enter just click Qurator's Photo Quest | Yellow from @qurator
We need to recap, tomorrow is July 4th, you know that Independence thing from us Brits! Well having an American wife and living in Britain, I still have to make hotdogs and burgers for the 4th. Fair enough, but heaven forbid we ever run out of mustard!
I don't think there is anything more American on the 4th of July than French's Yellow Mustard! What could be more fitting for part of my quest for yellow today!
Being a Sunday and with the weather was okayish, we went for a walk down to the beach, and on the pavement (sidewalk) passed this wee flower.
Just growing between the wall and the pavement. Nature just knows no bounds! Of course I had to get on my hands and knees and take a closer shot, because every day there is #alwaysaflower by @dswigle and yellow ones are some of the prettiest in my humble opinion!
A couple of passersby did give me a funny look as I was spread eagled on the tarmac trying to get a good angle! The things we do๐ to try and get a shot.
I only had my beatup Android phone, but it does have a cool camera!
There were yellow flowers all over the place on the beach promenade.
On the way back from the beach, we went up some steps, only to be greeted at the top by this!
Some kid have left their digger! Maybe they left it because it was broken, but really people should take their plastic things away.
Then on the way home, we saw some flowers and me being me just had to stop, and yes ya beauty a wee bee was in work mode and so I took some pictures.
I never know which picture to submit as an entry for any of these photo contests.
Swans might be my favourite birds, but bees are my favourite insects.
They are always such obliging models.
If you watch them, they really work over a flower.
Pollinators are just amazing creatures, and we rely on them for our survival.
After a wee while, we left him be(e) and went home!
I hope you enjoyed this selection of shots from my quest for yellow today!
It really was a #sublimesunday after all!
All images and ramblings are from me, the mad Scotsman @TengoLoTodo unless otherwise stated.
Haste Ye Back!
