Hello Hello bees in the Hive

What a beautiful morning it was this Sunday morning. The sun was shining and whilst it was I grabbed the chance to go for a walk.

I headed down towards the beach but soon realised with all the traffic being diverted down our road that the Links Market was being set up ready to open on Wednesday.

So, a quick 180 degrees change of direction and into the woods I went.

Can you believe that this picture was taken exactly 11 minutes walk from my front door. When I have nature like this on my doorstep there is no excuse not to get out and about and practise using my new camera!

Turn round and I snap our wee waterfalls.

Growing up on the coast I find water the most soothing sound there is. If it is not waves crashing against rocks then water cascading is the next best thing.

This reminds me of a tangled wooden web deraaa@deraaa 🤣

Along the paths I went towards the local park.

Scotland being Scotland, the sun would pop up and say hello and go into hiding again. A bit like a game of hide and seek!

This time of year really is fantastic in nature, the trees are starting to get their new buds, and the mix of trees in that picture really is nature at her finest.

I think those are cherry blossoms on those little trees maybe Denise dswigle@dswigle knows, I do know there are other blossom trees so I need to start learning their differences.

I made my way to my squirrel feeding point but stopped to take a pic of a Magpie I spotted high up in a tree.

img_0229.jpg

I laid out well more like threw down some handfuls of oatmeal and bird food on the rocks by my 'picnic' area. First visitor was Sammy eylz619@eylz619

Whilst Sammy was eating I ate my sandwich, waiting for the other squirrel Sabrina who usually eats off the rocks on the other side of the garden where I was seated. But no, because I was eating, one of the pesky seagulls was trying to get food!

img_0235.jpg

Can you see the wee blackbird who popped his head up from eating his oatmeal?

There was another Magpie who seemed to be preening themselves and their white feathers were awfully fluffy!

img_0278.jpg

It was a cracking way to spend the morning.

img_0228.jpg

This is the wee fella who photbombed the seagul pic and he is a Jackdaw, they are great birds and usually hang around in twos or threes.

img_0171.jpg

One of the shy birds that will not eat the food whilst I am there is this Starling that was hanging out in a tree until the humans had left.

img_0119.jpg

This was another one in a different tree and I just love it that the sun came out for this one!

img_0114.jpg

I can't leave the post without showing a Percy or two running for food!

Then it was back home and watch the mighty Rangers win 4-0 at ⚽, confidence back just in time for Thursday against Braga.

Then watched the Masters and a sensational 64 from Rory McIlroy in his final round of 🏌️⛳ golf.

The Sunday that kept giving really was a day to post c0ff33a@c0ff33a's #SublimeSunday and ace108@ace108's #BeautifulSunday.

Thank you so much for reading if you got this far.
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead!
