Doing your best is more important than being the best.

hey who said anything about having to go on a diet 😇
Hello Hello Dreemers of Hive
Friday is the day today, which means it is time for the weekly report in the DreemPort six week challenge.
When I finished my project management days, I presumed that my days of reporting would be left behind me, but oh no @dreemsteem has put paid to that wee fantasy 🤣
Last week, I opted into and started to participate in a six week lifestyle challenge.
This blood blog outlines my efforts or lack of, for week 2.
Last week took me by surprise, so I promised myself I would make up for it this week.

I love this quote from the former US gymnast and cancer survivor Shannon Miller, and happy birthday to her, as it was yesterday March 10th!
However, my bad! I did neither last week tut flipping tut!
The challenge is split into six parts and I shall describe what I do for each part.
Part One
Archie dried himself with the towel and wrapped it around his waist, and strolled back into the bedroom. Picking up an olive green coloured cushion from the bed he placed in on the floor, and then took a four-inch-high solid gold laughing buddha statue and placed it two foot from the cushion.
Archie was not a religious man, as he had seen at first hand too many gruesome acts undertaken in the various names of ‘God’. However, he did appreciate the good that religion can bring to people. He had his favourite parts in all major religions but if pushed would most align himself to the principles of Buddhism. Archie decided his meditation this morning would be a mantra meditation.
Sitting down cross legged on the cushion, Archie spent the next ten minutes chanting in a calm and assured voice the mantra “Lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu”. This is a mantra of cooperation and compassion and seemed rather appropriate Archie decided. The mantra actually means “May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all”.
Opening his eyes, Archie felt a sense of calm and was ready for whatever challenges the day ahead would bring.
Some of you might remember this. For some it is new, but it is an excerpt from my faction novel which will be revealed in Part 4.
This is the first time I have revealed something that is fact!
I satisfy part one of the dreemport challenge with the above ritual on a daily basis. Instead of the current 5 minutes, I meditate for ten minutes.

Part Two
Drink your water, dreemers! (32 ounces a day for Week 1 only - we will increase this a bit each week)
Here you can see my laptop open and I am writing this blog, my trusty water bottle is at the side. I do drink at least the required amount of water every day plus of course copious amounts of coffee!

Part Three
At the start of the pandemic when it became clear that it was not going to be a shortlived affair, I did my part for our planet and ditched my car. Now that we are pretty much back to normal, I have kept true to myself and not bought a replacement vehicle. We in the UK are pretty fortunate when it comes to public transport. There is a great network of rail and buses, and if more people used them, then they would only get better.
I feel that the good I am doing for our planet and myself far outweighs the extra inconvenience of not being to hop into the car to nip to the shops five minutes down the road.
On the days when the weather is miserable or I have not had the inclination to go out for a walk, I used my trusty rebounder above. There are all sorts of exercise vids I watch and bounce along to!

Part Four
We will be following your progress over the 6 weeks - so choose something that you've really been wanting to practice - and share it with us!
My special goal, which I alluded to in Part One is the picking up and continuation of writing of my faction novel - Archie The Homecoming. This is a screenshot of my draft manuscript. I did write all five days this week so I am quite chuffed about that. I also have a deadline of December to have the first draft finished and in the hands of @coquicoin ! I shall focus this blog more on PArt Four next week.

Part Five
This is to do with Hive I want to grow my account by 50HP each week. I hit the 500 HP mark today 💪👏👏
508.993 HP is my current total, so let's see how next week progresses.
I also want to grow my COSMOS ⚛️ portfolio
Weekly I want 1 extra ATOM 1 JUNO and 3 OSMO, these can be split daily.

Part Six
Whilst I did write on Hive everyday this week, I missed a couple of days to submit a post to DreemPort!
Remedial action required: Do this for five days in Week 3.
❌ Challenge only completed 3/5 days
Here is my report card for Week 2.
Last but not least
Finally @dreemsteem asked a question, to be called Question 2, however there was more than one question within said question. Click here to see the full story!
Question for Week 2
(submit into DreemPort on FRIDAY by 4pm PST)
As your first week progressed, what did you find to be the most challenging part of beginning this journey? Do you think that this week #2 has helped you be consistent and more dedicated? Or are you getting frustrated already! haha Share your honest feeling and emotions with us - There might be more people who resonate with how you're feeling! Be sure to cheer others on too!
My responses
2.1 The most challenging part of beginning this journey in week 1 was exactly the same challenging part in week 2. Judging from my blog reader, can you guess what it was?
Yes, it was submitting a post to DreemPort 😲
2.2 I can wholeheartedly confirm that week #2 has helped me be more consistent and more dedicated. Not only did I do all my crypto related daily goals but I wrote on Archie for five days! ✍️ 💪 More power to me!
2.3 Am I getting frustrated already? Far from it, this has brought a semblance of organization to this chaos. I love organised chaos and I am back on track and have my writing mojo firing on all cylinders.
This is a lot of fun, and I hope that you are joining in!
Have a magical and very relaxing weekend Hivers!
