With so many people away for the holidays or being in holiday mode I decided not to have a guest but to talk about tokens and pools as requested by @wongi and @jhymi

We did have a great discussion on various tokens and who likes what.

I think people know where to get tokens and where to trade their HBD to Hive and their Hive to swap.hive to buy their tokens.

We talked about IP or impermanent loss which is bamboozling to some people and best understood when you play around with things.

Dreemie did have a great example to share which was an ELI5 example!

Imagine that you have a little farmer's market.

And on Saturday, you want to spend $1000 on fruits to sell.

Today, oranges are worth 100 for $500
and apples are worth 200 for $500.

hooray - you now have 100 oranges and 200 apples for the prices of $1000.

Now you are ready to sell.

But then... something happens ..on Friday, there is a crazy thing that happens to the orange market!

Oranges are found to have some very bad infestation and now you are needing to hold oranges for 4 days before selling, and so the value of oranges drops.

Now for your value of $1000 - you can see this now affects what you are holding.

Imagine that these are two cryptos - and you can see that you have IMPERMANENT LOSS in these two tokens.

If they tell you - don't worry - you will be able to sell oranges at the next Saturday! just hold onto them and you will recover...

THIS is impermanent loss.

but... if you get scared?
and think - no no no... I want to sell these oranges to get rid of them. I'm too afraid! I'll sell them at at loss!

this is PERMANENT LOSS

It was a great discussion, and don't forget the 20% on HBD savings, people mulled over their favourite tokens and a big thank you to @quekery doing a great explaining about pools in English!!!

@beeber popped in at the end and asked what everyone was still doing in Voice Chat.

Turns out the Queen was off drinking gin with @treefrognada and @hoosie !!!

Mrs T just gave her a right old bollocking as she was round begging for more gin, so she has been suitably reprimanded for her NOSHOW and will be on the show next week...

The Queen Matilda is now looking forward to meeting the guest for 25th April which is none other than Queen RAVEN @ravenmus1c
