This goes both literally and figuratively,
Well, my personal opinion is:
As long as you stay down after you fall,
People continue to laugh.
As soon as you rise up to stand on your feet,
Their laughter breaks in half.
So rise up! Try harder! Stand up! Heed my call!
You're human, not a wounded calf.
