Yeah those points are completely solid. The mainstream systems have bled society and are now on the cusp on needing to change. Which way that goes depends on society and governments. Here in Australia new laws are getting enacted to break up that monopoly or at the least make the giants of social pay for the content that independent news entities produce. Since the giants then make big money from that without ever returning a portion back to the original content provider it's killed many small publishers.

So then in an ideal world that would also apply to the non commercial content that humans produce too. Which then.... makes the mainstream system arrive at something similar to what is happening here.

CONTENT REWARDED.

So it's a funny thing because as much as I say the system is broken and much missing, Hive is ahead of the curve. For that though I believe the missing parts need to come together soon because if the mainstream simply copy and then implement it on their networks then that mass exodus will likely not happen.

Clearly conservatives are the targets of censoring but it's a very small portion of the total user base. So the fact that Twitter has gone so hard on that, shows that they don't see it every effecting their revenue or dominance. GROUPTHINK after all is the goal.

My only gripe with Hive is that it doesn't provide a transition phase or "induction" for users to ease into the system (hence only those that GET IT play the game). Obviously every system costs to run but when a user realises that their actual ACCOUNT costs to run (because it's not guaranteed it will be rewarded and refueled RC) then that's a major buzz kill.

Providing new accounts excess HP on the other hand can be gamed so the account created and their interaction with the system matters so much more here than just creating a bunch of zombie/spam accounts on mainstream.

So in conclusion this Blockchain game is a delicate operation. As time has shown. The formula of rewards was thought as the perfect system to drive growth. Now though, it's people power that's really the system that makes it all mean anything and become successful. Hence, LEO the shining example!
