As a person that knowns what you're talking about (very few):

YES I AGREE, and yes this Blockchain is great at all that, but then, it only means anything if a person has dedicated interest in all that. Outside of here, no one cares about all that. Blockchain is only for nerds and crypto enthusiasts. Regardless of the "dapp" they like to use.

As a person that has no clue about what you're talking about (the majority):

WTF ARE YOU TAKING ABOUT? I have no clue and no need for all that, I just want to join a platform that works and all my friends are using. Btw, you got CHAT as a basic feature right? Since social media is THE norm on internet as a way to connect people from whatever walks of life they come from. Wait, no chat? Ummm.. why?

Ok I got a little crafty on the second reply because the general user will just expect all that to be here waiting for them and therefore won't care about tips. So since this place can't implement basic chat then the hype of onboarding an audience that is "missing out" is doomed.

REWARDS just aren't what people care about. That's proven by the fact crypto is still very niche and most actually see it as Scammy. Don't take my word for it though, read the post by @acidyo where he asked people how crypto is seen where they live. Almost unanimously it was negative. THAT is truth. That is what people here pretend to ignore.

The HF24 and promised second layer (reworded SMT) project might change things but I'm not too confident. Coders here (the ones that matter) make good coin by slow progress so this to them can be a train wreck for years and they still see it as a win. The rest, come and go.. and by the stats... it's more that go than come.
