I think you are missing the point made numerous times in the discussion.
Our native crypto currencies HIVE & HBD are on the open market. Demand build their value.
Sure, the Hive chain can store data, that is great, in fact it is as stated much more than what many other chains have to offer, however in the world of crpyto Hive offers something even rarer, that is "FAST & FREE" transactions.
In order to build demand, the utilization (use cases) of our cryptocurrencies needs to exist all over the internet. As not all 4.5 billion people on the internet are bloggers. (feel free to look up the stats).
So the only way to build demand is to expand our outreach on the internet, with viable, proven to work methods/applications which not only diversify the ownership, but also help to introduce our currencies and our "FAST & FREE" offer to the world of economics.
We are no longer Steem, where steemit.com is the center of the universe. We all found out the hard way why that was the case & we are now able to break away from that malicious mindset of exclusivity.
Show me a use case that is outside of the realm that is available on all other chains?
is it trading currencies? NO, they all offer that.
is it data storage? Maybe, but there are others that offer that.
is it "FAST & FREE" transactions? Somewhat, as most do not offer that.
So what do we have left to offer the world?
SMTs? Haaaa, we missed that boat years ago!
So all that is left is for us to utilize what we have as advantages, namely the data storage as far as the chain goes & "FAST & FREE" transactions as far as our crypto is concerned.
Hence, the need to expand into areas that others have not expanded into, hence the need to move forwards with applications that are diverse in nature and reach out to as many of the 4.5 billion people out on the internet.
I will stop there, as I am basically repeating what was clearly stated in the above videos/discussions.
Peace.
