It was a quiet evening just about 6 o'clock, Sandra felt her tummy growl, she knew what that meant.
She had been in the hostel since the morning after her class, just fiddling with her phone and trying to comprehend a novel written by one of the most complex lecturers in her school.
She dragged herself slowly out of bed and slouched as she opened her locker to get out her food flask. "I wouldn't dare sleep on an empty stomach" she murmured to herself.
Though it was six, she didn't care but got out of the hostel to get food. She hissed as she was mad at herself for not looking at the time.
When she stepped out of the hostel, the sky was a little bit dark as the sun had almost completely set plus the food vendors which sold close to the hostel's gate had all gone home. She covered her hands on her face.
A little bit disappointed, she decided to walk down to the school's CAF where she could get her meal though it was a distance away.
Snadra walked sluggishly with earphones plugged to her ears and her fingers moving from one letter on her keyboard to another as she smiled occasionally.
As she got closer to the CAF, someone stood in her way,he dressed in all black and wore a mask as well revealing only his eyes.
"Where are you going by this time of the night?" the weird looking guy asked, causing Sandra to giggle as she turned her neck as if she was looking for who he was referring to.
"It's just past six PM and you're asking me silly questions please leave my way". Sandra spoke with so much authority in her voice which angered the masked young man.
Listen to me, little girl, he spoke furiously. I'm not gonna repeat myself here nor am I going to stand here exchanging words with you and any wrong move from you, my boys are gonna come out and beat the hell outta you so be cautioned". Immediately he said that, he snatched her phone from and tucked it into his pockets.
Sandra laughed as she waited for the next thing he was going to do so she knew how to react. The moment he turned around to leave, Sandra got a hold of his pants waist line holding it firmly as she shook him and immediately landed a heavy blow on his nose. "I was born a fighter so you know"! Sandra spoke as she let go of her grip on his pants.
He dropped to the ground and groaned in pain, he never thought any girl could be so strong, he handed her phone back to her without being told to do so and pleaded she spared his face.
"You're just a petty thief who lacks the skill of stealing" Sandra said as she snatched her phone back from him and walked away leaving him to suffer with his bleeding nose.
