The clouds digressed from it's bright state to a dark and pregnant one.

It was about to rain heavily and Felicia was still by the road side with her CV tightly held to her chest. She had waited there for hours for John to arrive who was to take her to the company where she would apply for a job.

Tears welled up in Felicia's eyes and her thoughts went wild. She had told Dickson to drive her to the company but he insisted that John took her from the junction. She didn't know her way around wiss estate. She was totally confused, she called John a thousand times but he wasn't picking up and now the worst was about to happen to her! It was about raining cats and dogs. Felicia was in trouble waters; her heart raced rapidly and loud enough to the hearing of anyone close to her.

She had no option than to say her prayers, at least she felt God would hear her this time. She had thought God had deserted her, that He had left her to suffer alone even when she was the best worshipper. She had joined the choir in her local church to sing to God if he would rewrite her story but it seemed like nothing was working for her good.

She had gone through so many ups and downs all through her childhood to adulthood. The worst part is that she was actually born with a silver spoon but lost it at three. Her parents died in a car accident and she was the only child of her parents. Her uncle had claimed her father's wealth and sent her to live with someone unknown to her at such a tender age.

She had heard so many testimonies from her friends in high school how God did one or two things for them and decided to know who God really is and also serve him with every breath she took. That was how she joined the choir in her church and was a consistent worshipper not staying away from any church activity.

John is Dickson's friend who had decided to help Felicia get a job in the company he works in because there was a vacancy for the post of a clerk. She had studied business management and that was her field so she applied for the job and that day she was supposed to submit her CV to John so he could help her out. Though Felicia had never met John face to face but they spoke on phone once and that was because John needed to know Felicia's Location so he came to pick her up. But now she was getting disappointed, there was no trace of John nor was his phone going through.

Felicia was beginning to panic not just for anything but for her CV, she had gone through a lot to complete higher institution not talking of getting such grades. She didn't want the rain to soak it up. She sobbed a little.

It started drizzling, she looked for shade but found none, it was an estate too bad! Lightning appeared in the sky a series of times as the clouds got darker. The time was just 3:30 PM but it seemed like it was 8 PM already. The rain came down Felicia started crying profusely begging God and reminding him of her service to him. She said all manner of things trying to secure her file under herself. Just at the dying minute where she could no longer hide the file from the rain because she was wet already. A black surge just pulled through and stopped just by her.

A man came out of it and offered a ride. He looked at the drenched young lady and asked her her destination. Felicia narrated her predicament to him and the man just smiled and zoomed off.

He took Felicia to his house without her permission, offered her warm clothes and offered to help her. He went through her CV and saw she had made wonderful grades. He just grinned and walked away. Felicia was still praying in her heart and asking for luck to come her way.

After chilling a little the two went out again and this time straight to the company where Felicia wanted to apply for. The good Samaritan took her to her office and told her to resume work the next day. Felicia was surprised and asked how? He revealed himself to her as the CEO of the company! Felicia was short of words, she had moved from Grass to Grace.

She now believed more that God does hear prayers and this time he wasn't late at all.
