Maybe it’s so
I got caught up in the feeling
Thought it would last
Now my heart’s reeling
Don’t get me wrong
It’s not love at all
The week, I started rich
Feels now, like a stretch of gloom
Why doesn’t it last?
Caught up in my desires
Materialistic they were, vanity
For I wanted more, more quality
Shoes, clothes, rings, oh diamonds!
But how could I have known?
But now this rollercoaster is over
And I’m officially broke
I regret my actions, I wish I had the week again
Easy money they say, never lasts
And now, I believe it’s so.
