Our mayor has been creating various projects in our city, the majority of which are sports-related facilities. Last year, they opened the new skate park as well as the city's sports academy.
And just last week, they opened the new track oval and soccer field. One of the reasons why the government is promoting sports is for people, especially the youth, to engage in exercise and not just focus on gadgets and the like.
I admire the local government for doing so.
Anyway, I was busy with work last week and am feeling stiff, so I asked my father to go for a walk and/or jog with me. It's also a good time to check out the newly opened facility. It's available for public use at certain times: 4 to 8 AM and 4 to 8 PM on weekdays and 4 AM to 8 PM on weekends.
The weekday schedule is because the track oval and soccer field are located inside one of the city's public schools.
We woke up at around four in the morning and headed there. The school is about a 15-minute walk because we must take the long route to enter through the front gate since the back gate is closed, which would have taken us less than 10 minutes.
On our way there, there were already some people heading the same way... mostly teens and kids. It's a Saturday, so that's understandable.
We walked and jogged around the oval for a while. However, when it was around 5:20, a lot more people came, so we decided to head out.
And yeah, there's an ambulance on standby, just in case. :) It was a good experience, but I guess it's better to go there much earlier or maybe on a weekday so there would be fewer people.
Our original plan was to stay until six because my class won't start until eight. So, we decided to go for a walk to the beach and see the sunrise.
The sea was so calm and beautiful, and the sunrise was also lovely. We stayed there for a while to enjoy the sea breeze, then walked around the park before we headed home.
On our way home, we bought some bibingka (baked rice cake). We also got some wheat bread from 7/11 for our breakfast.
It was a great way to start my day. I only had one class today, so I'm basically free. I decided to clean my room and painted this on my wall.
It's very random, but I had to cover some cracked paint... and I'm also preparing to make this wall an art display wall for my future paintings. ^^
It'll motivate me to draw or paint more in the coming days.
I'll end this post here. Thanks for checking and see you around!
