Happy Mother's Day to all mothers, mama, mommy, nanay, haha, and so on all over the world!

It's not a secret that my mama @arashi0416 isn't just a mom to me, but also a best friend... a confidant. We're not really into huge celebrations and surprises, but I wanted to make this day better than usual. :)

She requested I make her a cake, and so I did. I made a coffee-chocolate cake using the air fryer. She's going to share about it soon. In this post, I want to share a poem I made for her today.

I handed her this poem a while ago, and it was so funny. She doesn't have perfect eyesight anymore, and the words on this card are tiny, so she jokingly spread her thumb and index finger on the paper to zoom in. hahah

Anyway, let me type out the poem below. It would be easier for her to read again. haha

My Forever, My Mom

I wake up every day feeling tired
Yet, a lovely woman is keeping me inspired
She stirs warmth into my mornings
Her smile and care fulfill my yearnings


Every dish she prepares is a whispered promise
Pulling me further away from the dark abyss
Her love served on a plate; seasoned with care
Takes away my stress; a gem truly rare


She steps into my world ever so gently
Accepting my craziness so delicately
Ready to listen with an open heart
With wisdom, meaningful words she imparts


Forever feels too fleeting to show my gratitude
For having a mom with immense magnitude
I should really thank my lucky stars
I love you, mom, way beyond Mars

I doodled some plants on the poem card I gave her because she loves plants. :)

She actually laughed when she received the poem because there were food and cooking references. Well, she can't blame me... she's just the best cook there is!
