HEARTACHE

You'll never know real love
Unless you experience pain
It's an inevitable rule we have
Tied up by an indestructible chain

"Time heals"; that's what they say
You'll eventually move on and forget
But, isn't it hard to live day by day
When your heart's full of pain and regret

You feel like turning back the time
To see his or her smile again
Feels like your wound is drowned in lime
It's there! In your heart, you feel the pain

You just wish that you held on stronger
Perhaps, they have stayed beside you
"What ifs"... yes! they continue to linger
But it already happened; nothing left to do

You try to hide the pain like it's nothing
"I've moved on.. I have forgotten"
But the pain you feel is worsening
The heart of stone, seems like it's molten

Living without the person you love the most
Trying to erase all the memories you had
Definitely makes you a living ghost
Heartache... Yes! It can be that bad...
