Hive unlike many other blogging platforms is one where creating content that spark engagement and interaction will have a positive effect on the creators repution and future on the blockchain. This is one reason why creating contents that people could engage with is highly valued and we should keep that in mind while during the process of creating content.
As a newbie, one could be creating low quality content that appear less engaging with hopes that someone somewhere would curate the post and this is why so many find it difficult at times to get noticed on the blockchain. And so it is important to figure out ways to make your posts or content more attractive, informative and fun that other users will not only want to by to check out what you have shared but could also wanna give feedback. There's already a struggle of engagement on Hive, and posts that can do so are regarded as gems.
TITLE
It is worth knowing that the title of the post goes a long way in inviting readers and curators. Personally, this is why I also spend a little moment in figuring out a great way to structure my title. Not too long, not too short, something relatable and if not relatable, create the title in such a way that people would be curious to know what the post is about.
DON'T BE TOO RIGID
Feelings and emotions is what makes us human and they ultimately make other users find our content more relatable. Adding the element of feelings would gou a long long in attracting other users to visit your blog and want to engage with you. By feelings and emotions, I mean all of them, be happy, be sad, be hopeful, you can rant, you can make fun, you can show empathy, talk about your experience, it's all welcomed and they make content appear more of being created by a human and not a bot.
**ASK QUESTIONS **
This also could help make posts more engaging. Other users would easily wanna share their thoughts and opinions more when you've asked in your posts and that would also make keep them coming back knowing the you're a creator who not only shares their thoughts, opinions and experiences, but also seeks to know about those of others.
Since the birth of Leothreads, engagement has gone up sporadically on Hive and in the Leofinance community and I'm glad the idea worked perfectly. However since you may not earn as much from threads as you would from writing articles and blogs, it is best to improve our writing skills to make the best out of the blockchain. I hope you found this useful, please feel free to share your thoughts and suggestions.
