Not sure if "life hack" suits this topic but here are a couple things I've learnt during my time in the crypto verse that could ultimately save you from losses as you journey through this space of opportunities and uncertainties. This isn't a financial advice of any sort, but could be a guide as they have been helpful to me and were gathered from my experience and others in this space.

Don't Tremble When There's A Dip
This is the first on my list because I've had and still have some first hand experience on how the crypto market could be(good and bad times) so I know the feeling that comes with seeing the market plunge. As a newbie, it's normal to wanna take rash decision because the market isn't going as expected but I assure it's best to wait and not to tremble as a result of a bad market. Take a break, a walk, some sleep (if you can), or perhaps come back the next day to see if you still want to take that decision. Personally, I wait about a day or two so I don't FOMO (fear of missing out) but ever since I've learnt the importance of patience in the crypto world, I just buy and Hodl. This has saved me some time, some money and has reduced how stressed I could be about how bad my portfolio is doing.

Check, Double Check and Triple Check Before Carrying Out A Transaction.
I've had friends and colleagues who've shared their experiences on how they've sent some cryptos to the wrong address or using using wrong memos. Cryptos sent to the wrong addresses cannot be recovered except in rare cases so I've learnt from other people's mistakes by checking all the details, not once, not twice but at least thrice to make sure the details are correct before carrying out the transaction. Sending a very small amount of crypto (dust) to an address you're not very sure of can also save you from losses that comes with wrong transactions.

Think Long Term
The cryptoverse is filled with life changing opportunity that could appear to be "get rich quick"projects. The most successful people I know in this space are people who have developed a long term mindset and ride along with the market in both its good and bad times. They've made up their mind to stick with the projects they felt were right and true and I've learnt personally that setting long term goals pays off alot in the crypto world. Looking for short term gains and overnight wealth may cost you alot and I'm not talking only money. Feom.my experience, it's advisable to look for projects that feel right and are legit and stick with them for as long as they keep growing and existing.

One key thing to note is that there would be losses in one way or another, but these little piece of advices may help in reducing your losses and helping you reach your goals in a diligent and efficient manner.
