Cryptocurrencies keep proving they are the future of finance and have shown their digital worth since their creation and now they've also have shown great use even at the brink of war. In the last 3 days, Ukraine has received cryptocurrency donations amounting to over $4.6 million dollars from people all over the world via it's defence and hacktivist groups with hopes that these fund would secure some aid, bulletproof vests and food for those seeking refuge and those actively defending their country.
The donations may seem little but at this early stage, crypto has shown to be the best way to execute a borderless, decentralised and faster approach to sending funds to those in distress. But there's more.
The past few days have also witnessed hundreds of thousands of displaced parents, children, students and youths who currently have no means of survival besides all they have from savings and donations from others. To simply put, people are out of their jobs and business which correlates to any time of warin history, but the difference is that now, Hive and Leofinance exists.
It's sad that the popular social media platforms can't help individuals in these situations more than spread information and create a source income to only famous content creators. Hive and Leofinance however could serve as a decentralised means of income for everyone regardless of their status alongside providing credible and concrete information unlike many platforms out there.
Hive and Leo could also help individuals rebuild and bounce back to their feet faster than it has ever happened in history via donations and income. So long you can use the Internet, you can use Hive. This also gives individuals self reliance and a chance to rebuild without waiting for the government. Times have changed and no one has to go through the pain and loss from wars.
I'm sincerely hoping and praying this issue doesn't escalate more than its already has but I'm going all out to support every person at war all over the world with whatever ways I can. Hopefully we can get more Ukrainians on Hive in the coming days and as Hive and Leo serve their purposes, the world also realises the need for HIVE.
I'd like to start a campaign on twitter with the hash tag #Hiveforukraine to get as much attention of Ukrainians and the world to Hive. I hope it works and hope this helps the Ukrainians one way or the other. Thank you.
