Well Hello There Fellow Gamers And Hivers
In the previous episode of The Withcer 3 Saga I went on a mad run looking for The Baron's wife and daughter, I came across some fisherman who helped them escape and I learned a great deal of information from them. Valuable information. This led to the discovery that The Baron had a unborn daughter who turned into a Botchling. We then found the Botchling at the unmarked grave and then named her Dea, she was then buried again and turned into a Lubberkin. This in turn gave me some more leads and I ended up in Oxenfurt where Tamara was located.
The search began for Tamara.
Finding Tamara
Finding Tamara wasn't all that hard to do, the lead I got pointed me in exactly the right direction. Quite odd I usually have to wander around aimlessly before finding new leads. (So this was pleasant)
Tamara joined up with a local witch hunter. (I'll be blunt I have no love for their kind, sooner or later they'll be hunting me and we shall see who endures through that battle.)
Tamara was very hard headed, as expected from a grown teen, she rejected anything about her father but she was willing to listen at the end. Even though she wasn't returning back to The Baron.
The Baron's wife was dragged off into the woods by some fierce beast, or as Tamara described it an enormous wild thing that trampled trees down.
This must be why she joined up with Gerdar a commander of a bunch of witch hunters.
They gave me enough information to locate her, as it seems she was held up in Crookback Bog.
The only worry was the Crones of Crookback Bog. I have no idea who they are and what they would expect when they see me walking in. (They are pure witches of evil eventhough they would deny it.)
Before heading off to Crookback Bog I made a stop by The Baron informing him that Tamara would not likely return and that she had no joy in seeing the doll he wanted me to give her.
I think this somewhat upset him as he was not happy to see me and shoved me off afterwards.
The Crones Of Crookback Bog
After setting of for Crookback Bog I ran into a few obstacles on the road, some wolves and a group of bandit thugs that murdered an innocent. I dealt with them accordingly.
Not long after the bandits I came down on the start of the "sweet trail," which was in-fact nothing sweet about it. When crushing the cookies and sweets left on the trail it crumbled into a heap of maggots. This must be the work of witches and only the Crones of Crookback Bog.
This is how I knew I was on the right trail!
As I followed the "sweets" trail I saw a enormous house appearing in the distance with a few smaller huts surrounding it. It is almost as if this was some sort of village, must have been before the witches took over the place.
As i dwindled closer and closer to the house I saw the unexpected.
Kids?
What would kids do out here in the middle of the witches swamp? They even appear to be relaxed as if this was their home. After all it must have been.
I had a chat with them and it appears that this is some sort of orphanage. Run by the witches no doubt.
Perhaps food for their cauldrons.
Well they weren't allowed to talk to me, so I resorted to playing games with them and eventually I was able to speak with one of the younglings.
He pointed me into the swamps where I was to find Johnny.
Johnny wasn't allowed to be at the "village" so he lived in the swamp and I had to set out and find him.
Johnny The Godling
Finding Johnny wasn't all that hard using my witcher senses. I had a little trouble on my way to him with some drowners popping up here and there, not to mention the waterhags.
However Johnny was no ordinary boy, no he was a Godling.
But Johnny had some problems, he could not speak, his voice was "stolen" somehow and how doesn't really matter it was getting it back that mattered I needed him to speak and speak loudly!
Johnny led me to a nearby cliff where he supposedly "lost" his voice.
I have a feeling that this was some sort of magic trick performed on him and now he is left voiceless, I suppose I'll have to make the climb up the cliff and see what I can find!
What I found at the top of the cliff was not what I expected at all, a harpies nest with three harpies ready to scrape and claw away at my flesh. But Johnny's voice has got to be somewhere bottle up here.
I killed the three harpies and found his voice in a bottled within the nest, I can't see why the harpies would have taken it on purpose.
That's besides the point now, I retrieved his voice and made my way back where Johnny opened the flask himself and start blabbering out curse words left and right as if he learned them right there and then. I've never seen any creature as glad to have his voice back as this Godling.
I returned to the village of the Crones with Johnny tagging along, he was very usefull after getting his voice back. He helped barter with Anna the Baron's wife for me to speak with the Crones.
Although I didn't speak with the Crones face to face, rather we went inside the house and stood infront of a huge tapestry with three ladies on it. They are the Ladies of Crookback Bog, also knows as the Crones of Crookback Bog.
This is without a doubt the purest from of witch craft there is. They gave me a task that needed doing before they are willing to share information with me about Ciri the ashen haired woman.
Why must there always be a stupid bartering going on? Can't they just give me the information that is so useless to them?
The task was killing a dark force hidden under a big oak tree in one of the forests, I am yet to find it.
Until the next episode! Keep on gaming like you've only got one life left!
