Well Hello There Gamers And Hivers!

Welcome To Rust!

A Little Recap!

In the last episode of Surviving In Rustopia I finally managed to pull off the Launch Site run! This was a major milestone for me since I've tried running it three times already and two of those three times I almost made it out but died at the very end of it!

So it felt great to achieve some kind of success with it, it felt strange not being able to run it because I use to always run it with ease, but since the scientists were added it became a lot harder to do!

Besides the Launch Site run I did score a ton of other loot from the run as well!

A Plan Well Thought Out!

Okay so starting this series I did say that running Oil Rig was going to be out of the question for me and it was until I met a friend in the game! FleGoat is his name!

Let me tell you I couldn't be more happy with running into the guy one late night of playing!

Since the last episode I shared we've done SOOOO MUCH I don't even know where to begin! We've had two blasting PVP plays! One was on Oil Rig the night before this recording was made and the night before that we ran into a bunch of oaks at Military Tunnels who were almost half way through it!

Well... Since I got a buddy I decided that Oil Rig was a must! Oh and there's a Cargo Ship soon to be hit as well!

Some Interesting Developments!

So, we got a Tug Boat! I know it doesn't seem like much but heck guys you can build on this boat and place down Sleeping Bags! Which means that you can spawn anywhere on the water with this little gem of an idea!

I knew about this, I saw it in one of Blooprint's Rust videos on YouTube so I had some idea of what it was! FleGoat my team player had no idea this thing even existed and he was beyond surprised when I rocked out with that thing! I had to, I was scoping it out at Harbour for quite some time now!

The Forward Operating Base!

That's What It'll Be!

Oil Rig!

What we decided on doing with the Tug Boat was to use it as some sort of forward operating base, it is slow so don't expect to make escapes with it!

This Tug would be primarily used for running Oil Rig! What we do is, I take the Tug out onto the open ocean some ways off from Oil Rig so as not to see it from Oil Rig. Then FleGoat takes a Small Motor Boat and comes over to where I threw down ancor. He then picks me up, we run Oil Rig and we deposit everything on this beast and head out of there.

The tug boat is there for when we die on Oil Rig... Then we have some ability to spawn closer to it, with some good guns and ammo and with some way to get to Oil Rig faster than just swimming... Diving suits.

So far that's worked perfect for us, I even died in this episode so you'll get a visual explanation of what I mean.

Oil Is So Different!

I don't mean this in a way that it has changed since I last ran it almost two years ago, I mean it in a sense of it's different from all the other monuments.

It's the only monument along with Large Oil Rig that drops off heavy scientists when you activate the Red Room loot chest. So in order to get to this loot room you need to fight your way through all of the levels on the Oil Rig just to get to the top if it and then if you've made it this far you've still got some things to clear out!

Once activating the chest, an alarm would go off and that would call the Cargo Helicopter basically the chinook and that will drop off a whole bunch of Heavy Scientists on the Oil Rig and then you've got to fight your way through those as well and any other players that might come counter you! Oh yes sometimes they do! Because the moment chinook enters the map everyone on the server knows that somebody is doing oil!

I'm Not Going To Be Sharing Too Much On Oil In Context.

Running Oil Rig is fun and I think it's just as fun to watch gameplay of it being run!

So perhaps do yourself a favour and skip to 25 minutes in the video and see how the run went, you might just like it. We are planning on running Large Oil Rig over the weekend as well. So just perhaps perhaps!

I did mention that I died at one point and this was it! Thinking you're going to help your friend and you end up being the one that died! Laughs!

I'm glad I did manage to make it back to Oil Rig from the Tug Boat!
