the journey the chain leads

Recently I’ve had what felt like fairly straight forward linear days, ground hog days if you like posting on the blockchain. I realise from the perspective of a viewer looking into my feed that all they see is posts about products at times between maybe 4pm and 6pm each day.

I’ve been really focused on adding products on @steemhunt and doing my bit with videos each day to really push that service forward. I think it has some great coders with some great ideas behind it and I really want it to succeed — they have also been very fair and kind to me.

As most of you know I’ve taken to the steem blockchain in the last year in an interesting way, always adapting and flowing with it, remembering the price of steem when it was uber cheap and checking the internal market on a daily basis to see if I can buy more.

For well over six months now I’ve been upgrading all my studio bits so that I can do more here — more video on @dtube and more live streaming on @dlive, it’s been a gradual process as I’ve realised that no matter of me upgrading the little bits it’s the big computer parts I need to do next.

As of today i’m officially a moderator for @steemhunt and I could not be more happy — I truly believe it’s one of the top five steem blockchain applications out there and I think their vision where they want to go will be defined when they launch their SMT.

It’s been a hectic time since @dayleeo had to go back home, six months of time here flew by in some respects and I already know it’s not gonna feel like forever until she’s back — we have started to make inroads into our steem savings accounts and the next part of the puzzle is to upgrade her ‘studio’ set over in the states, it feels like real progress ;)

I also realise that at some point I’ll probably end up forking my time with other blockchains like EOS and beyond to ‘see what they offer’ for the content creator, storyteller, blogger and the new wave of what I see as ‘personal brands’ using e-sports and the ‘live’ portal to host the next generation of competition online.

I’m also looking forward to the time when you will be able to personalise what you want to receive from me, instead of just a feed or blog of the things I post to the steem blockchain you will have the ability to filter and sort the posts you really want to look at, heck even request things you would like me to post on.

I truly believe we are at the crossroads where the notion of SEO goes more personal and those that put in the work will be found compared to those who don’t take part.

But the one thing that I really wanted to get across with this post today was the ability for the blockchain to help with my focus, it’s been a game changer — if I can’t blog, if I can’t record, then I can curate, I can comment, I can moderate, I can adapt, I can thrive in whatever capacity I’m able too with the limited focus some days I have.

It’s more than proof of brain, it’s proof of ability for right now — if I can write a big blog post and add it to that ledger great, if I can’t but I still want to participate and send a ping that I’m good I can curate, I’m out here, I’m alive somewhere, the ledger knows like the all seeing master program in the original tron film.

There is something to be said to be a face in that ledger crowd and one that we have not really elevated up beyond the hyperbole that we normally consider when we speak about open, public distributed ledgers like the steem blockchain, it’s way bigger than just some database, it’s a store of collective conscious value if you really drill down and pick apart what it’s doing for different people around the globe.
