I am sure you will have great fun with it, it will be a handy lens, as for what I will eventually get, I am thinking about what I do shots most of and what I will most likely take photos of when I retire and that will hopefully lead me in the right direction when I choose, I was previously thinking if I got one type of lens I could do that ie with the 150-600 do more bird shots, but its coming to me that its such a big lens its not one I would carry with me often, and also how often would I go somewhere where i would be able to get shots of birds, and my answer is not so often so probably not a good idea
