This was taken on one of my morning walks along the boardwalk by Walnut Beach and Silver Sands State Park in Milford CT, My main focus that day was getting in a few miles of walking as part of my new exercise routine, and initially there was pretty much heavy clouds in the sky and I wasn’t expecting too much to come of the sunrise.

And I was right to a degree when the sun first started rising it was barely if at all visible. Through the clouds on the horizon, so I kept on walking, but as it rose it hit this point where there was a band of Lightner clouds and the beautiful warm orange tones came breaking out in the clouds

It was only this way for a few minutes and quickly paced away but even for such a short burst was beautiful to see.
