Good Morning
As you may know I often head out early morning well before the sunrise, hoping for a nice sunrise, and while strolling waiting for the sun to rise I may try and get some photos of light trails from cars, something i enjoy catching and seeing.
and thats what this post is about, of course with long exposures and on a tripod is always possible they may not come out as initially planned, so this post will include some I feel came out well, some not so much and even one light trail I was not trying for.
This first one comes under the category I wasn't trying for a light trail
the other morning it was raining most of the night and I didnt expect to get out for a walk, but then at about 10 past 5 in the morning i heard the rain stop so decided to head downtown to the historic district thinking after the rain could be a good time to get some shots of the cobblestone roads.
Which I was focusing on for this shot the cobblestone streets and the light son in the Restaurant and a car came driving by.
the lights on in the top floor of the restaurant seems to be some sort of gym or something I saw some ladies working out in there

NOw this next one is under the Oops category, was trying for the shot above and a car started coming along the road towards me during the long exposure so I had to quickly move me and the camera and tripod off the road.

This was on the same morning, before i walked from the port to the historic district, stopped before crossing the road to get this shot

This was from another day this past week, another very foggy morning which most mornings have been this week, and again I parked by the port but walked to a parking garage and up to the top floor and saw this view

this was another day and I forget exactly where i was but liked the two levels of light trails

now this is the same view as an earlier photo in this post but on a different day I went with selective coloring for this photo

and a different sort of light trail, I was on the Hurricane barrier wall on the Fairhaven side and saw this fishing boat heading through the gap between the walls and heading out, now this is a bit of a I didn't get it right shot, I should have perhaps done a longer exposure to gets its trail right across the image.
and I was going to crop it to give that effect but funnily enough I preferred it ending stopping part way through
