Ernestina Morrisey Sail boat
Good Morning all
I was thinking of doing all post this week with recent photos since I have got out for a few walks, but then I realized most of th walks I have taken of recent and either in the park, or by the water of birds, and I do like to mix up my feed so decided to slip in some more shots of the schooner ERNESTINA-MORRISSEY
Now I am not a sailor and have not spent much time out on boats, but I do know enough to know this is the bow of the ship

The schooner ERNESTINA-MORRISSEY, was built in 1894 at the James and Tarr Shipyard for the Gloucester fishing fleet. Under Captain Bob Bartlett she sailed to within 600 miles of the North Pole, and later brought immigrants to the U.S. under the power of sail. Returned to the US in 1982 as a gift from the newly independent Cape Verdean people, she sailed as an educator until 2005.
She is primarily docked in New Bedford, as I said most of my walks of recent have been in parks so I haven't been to the port for a few weeks now I must swign by there soon and check if she is back in port
and I even know enough to know this is the stern of the ship as I mentioned in a previous post the Schooner had not been in port for a couple of years as it was going through an overhaul and I must say they did a awesome job it looks in great shape

I love seeing tall sail ships like this and one day I will catch it out on the water with its sails raised
