A few buildings in the historic district
Good morning and have a great day, mine will start with me heading off as soon as I share this to the Dermatologist's office to have a bit of skin cancer removed, not looking forward to it of course, but best to catch them early and get it removed, not a big deal as this is probably the 24th I have had removed
Today I will share photos and info on some historic buildings here

The Joseph Taber Building is a commercial structure composed of granite ashlar and built c. 1825-1840. This structure is an example of a simple, unadorned vernacular Federal style building. On the interior, the second and third floors are suspended from large trusses by wrought iron rods. Joseph Taber was a pump and blockmaker who conducted his business here from the 1830s to the 1880s. The first story was occupied by Taber as a pump and block maker's shop, and the second story was a boat builder's shop.

The building at 114 Front Street in downtown New Bedford is the Buzzards Bay Center, constructed in 1832 and part of the New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park. Renovated in 2010, this historic site serves as the headquarters for the Buzzards Bay Coalition, featuring a, green roof for sustainability and, acting as a community resource

The historic P. Kaller & Son Wholesale Beef & Provisions building sign on the side of this building , located at 23 Centre Street in New Bedford, MA, is a repurposed 19th-century industrial building. Formerly a meat-packing facility, the building is now home to the Fiber Optic Center, yet it retains its original signage and exterior, preserving a homage to downtown history

The Corson Building at 21 Williams street,is actually two buildings connected to each other, one built in 1875 and the other in 1884.
It has been a commercial building from the start and still houses numerous shops and offices. It was heavily damaged by fire in 1997 and was set to be demolished until the Waterfront Historic Area League stepped in to purchase and stabilize the building. Unfortunately, it did not have the resources to complete the project. In 2004, the building was donated to the National Park Service and restoration was commenced.
The Corson Building reopened in 2008, though very little remains of the original structure. The ground floor is retail space while the second floor is home to the Corson Makerspace, a creative learning center and art studio.
