Today I went out for a walk late, already at dusk. I hoped to see an unusually bright star: the planets Jupiter and Saturn were so close to each other that they seemed to be one. But the sky was covered with clouds so densely that not a single star appeared in the sky. Last time a similar astronomical event occurred 400 years ago, how many years will we wait for the next one?
But it was a very pleasant walk. I reached the Neva River, crossed the bridge, admired the snowflakes fluttering in the light of the lanterns. My smartphone can't handle nighttime photography, so instead of illustrating, I'm adding pictures taken during daylight hours to the post. Gray asphalt, gray sky, black tree trunks. The top photo shows the boulevard on Decembrists Street, near the apartment of the Russian poet Alexander Blok. The lower one shows the Admiralteysky Canal embankment near New Holland Island.
