육아일기-시그림 편 입니다.
우리 딸들 카니와 마니-초딩 시절의 이야기죠.
It's the story of our daughters Kani and Mani- in elementary school.
아이들의 감성을 자극하는 일-그것이 시나 그림에 있어서 가장 핵심이라고 봅니다.
기술? 그건 감성의 파도가 휩쓸고 지나가면 저절로 익혀지곤 하죠.
감성이 없는 기술은 참말로 무미건조합니다.
최고급 카메라로 아무 거나 접사해놓은 것처럼 말이죠.
Stimulating children's emotions - I think that's the key to poetry and painting.
Technology? That's when the waves of emotion sweep away.
Techniques without emotion are really dry.
It's like shooting everything with the finest cameras.
아이의 감성을 일깨우기 위해서...어른이 할 일은 먼저 스스로 감성이 깨어나 있어야 합니다.
그리고 같은 주제를 가지고 같이 사유의 뜨락에서 노닐어야 겠죠.
오늘은 아이들과 이야기 끝에 이런 주제를 내밀어 보았습니다.
In order to awaken a child's emotions ... The thing that an adult has to do is to have his emotions awake first.
And with the same subject, we should play together in the spirit of reason.
Today, after talking with the children, I tried to express these topics.
[해넘이]....어때?
밑도 끝도 없는 주제죠?
이 애매모호함 속에서 아이들은 자유롭게 꿈꾸기 시작합니다.
그리고 창조주가 되어 무언가를 이뤄냅니다.
이렇게...
[Sunset] .... How about this?
It's an endless theme, right?
In this ambiguity, children begin dreaming freely.
And become a Creator and achieve something.

카니의 작품입니다.
일몰을 담은 바알간 하늘...그리고 비취빛 거울같은 물...마주 보며 말없이 교감하는 두루미들...
그리고 보이시나요. 사람이 탄 작은 배가 한 척 들어오고 있음이...
This is Kani's work.
The red sky with the sunset ... and the water like the jade light mirror ... The cranes that meet in silence ...
And you see. There is a small ship in the boat ...
[그곳에 드디어 사람이 왔다]
2000. 카니
사람이 왔다.
물결만 고요히 밀려가던 그 섬에 드디어
사람이 왔다.
이제 새로이 사람들의
집착과 욕망이 그 많은
모래알을 물들이겠지.
[There finally came a man]
2000. Kani
People came.
finally got to the island where the waves were only being pushed silently
People came.
Now the new people
A lot of obsession and desire
It will dye the sand.
아이가 지은 이 시를 보고 난 당시 가슴이 좀 아팠습니다.
집착과 욕망이라는 아이답지않은 단어때문이었죠.
하지만...지금 돌아보면 뭐 틀린 감각은 아닙니다.
그 섬이 무엇일까요?
내 집착과 욕망이 물들이기 시작한...그 원래의 섬은 당신에게는 무엇이었나요?
When I saw this poem made by my child, I was sick a little.
It was because of unbearable words of obsession and desire.
But ... Looking back now is not a wrong feeling.
What is the island?
My obsession and desire began to swim ... What was the original island for you?
아! 마니도 그렸습니다.
둘의 감각과 표현이 어떻게 다른가 보시겠어요?
Ah! Mani also painted.
Do you see how their senses and expressions differ?
온 물을 가득 메운 잔 파도...거기에 햇살이 담겨 일제히 흔들리고 있네요!
그것은 우리 말로 '윤슬' 이라고 하죠.
흉중에 새겨두시겠어요? 이런 아름다운 표현 하나쯤은...
It is a small wave filled with water ... There is sunshine shaking all at once!
That's what we call 'spinning'.
Would you keep it on your chest? One such beautiful expression ...
그리고 마니도 시를 썼네요.
