The ECB is facing this situation. It is one of the reasons for all this nonsense in my opinion. Distract from the real truth: they are having a tough time selling their bonds. Basically the EU is coming to the end of their Keynesian ways yet don't want everyone else to catch on. So they have to misdirect the focus.

This is why the proposed "coronabonds" which never expired or matured. They only paid interest on them. Thus the ECB wouldnt have to sell new bonds to replace them..only to make up for the deficit spending.

There are all kinds of tricks they will play, none of which are working.

What for a CBDC EURO. That will allow them to go negative AND take the money out of people's accounts if they are not spending.
