It is stupid for the most part. Those are engaging upon it are being ridiculous. Are there things to downvote like spam and plagiarized stuff? Sure. That makes sense.

But the whales are known to be bullies and really set things back. The tribes are really starting to take hold in large part because the whales on those tribes tend to behave differently.

I havent seen what the reasoning is for the recent downvoting action. Maybe with the price going up we attracted more scammers, spammers, and people trying to milk things.

If that is the case, then it is a smart move by the whales to try and reign that in.
