So one of the major things talked about recently on hive are 'downvotes'. A lot of people have been complaining about getting downvoted by whales recently.

Now I haven't received any downvotes yet. It would hurt my earning and probably put me in a bad position since this is my major source of income and I put my hurt and soul into it. However, there isn't much I would do about it and I hate worrying about things I have no control over.

So people consider it as a form of censorship. I think that is farfetched since it isn't directly affecting people's ability to speak rather it serves as an economical deterrent (to free speech).

So what's your take on the whole downvote issues?
