Ok, here we are again for another photo dump from the quaint seaside town of Porvoo in Finland. This will be our second and final night away from home and Smallsteps, so we will make the most of it and try and get some sleep.

I thought that this would be a better lead in pic than the one I used last night, after I was rushed to post and forgot to add a better first image.
It is interesting here though, as while there are some vintage things around in the shops, much of it is actually just "vintage" - were it looks old, but just got loaded off a container from a Chinese factory. Granted though, there is some pretty cool stuff to be found too.
Like lumps of wood.
This was taken from where we ate dinner tonight - which was pretty good food and better than last night, but a little too steep in price for what it was.
And there were plenty of blue-eyed birds around, and not just because this is Finland. The ones below were everywhere also.

And there was a toy shop filled with lots of cool little kids things, like miniatures for dollhouses. Weirdly, kids weren't looking at them - adults were. THere was even a sign that said "these are not toys".
Humans.

And this was my favorite. Mice in a matchbox - it was much larger than an actual matchbox, but really cute and far too expensive to buy for Smallsteps, who has twelve thousand mouse toys already.

And some shots I took in the morning at the old railway station. It was pretty cool there, though dangerous, as everything was rotting away.
And lunch!
Which was fantastic because I got to eat two starters of different kinds of snails, including out of the shell for the first time.
I love snail.
Even more than lamp.
My wife looked like she was going to be sick as I was pulling them out of their little homes and showing down.
And this is from last night when the sun was setting around 10 pm. Tonight, it was quite cloudy and in the morning it was quite wet, but overall, we have been pretty lucky with the weather for this trip.
And then, there are some other random pictures from around old town that I selected to showcase a little.
And as I said yesterday, I was looking at various old doors, trying to find some interesting textures that I can use for later posts. Locks and handles are great!
And this last one was in an area that has at some point in history long ago, been through a fire, with a lot of the wood charred, but due to it being so thick, it survived and has made it through to the present day, still in somewhat use.
And, since I haven't put many photos of people here, this is one of my wife enjoying the evening sun before we headed to dinner. Hopefully, she has enjoyed the time away enough, that she isn't super sad when we head back to reality.
Although, she won't be going back empty-handed, as she found some old chairs for auction on Facebook site that she won the bid on as the only bidder. Sometimes it is good to have niche tastes and usecase for these things. I might even do a post on them later, as they are a couple decades old and will hopefully suit our new kitchen once it is complete in September-ish.
And, speaking of being left empty-handed... I think it is time for bed.
These posts have been a bit different than my usual of late and I hope that you have enjoyed them still. Holiday travel posting is fun though, as it is personal and it feels like I am experiencing it along with you, as all of this is new for me too :)
Tomorrow... back to normality.
