Getting it from strangers is something one can't control, unless they really make an effort to do so [face mask, social distancing, etc].

My wife was at a museum with a thousand kids two days earlier. Going to the shops you have no idea who has touched what and, people Are very bad at actually keeping themselves hygienic. Doctors struggle with it out of the operating theatre.

The lockdowns didn't work. But, the impact of the lockdowns will last for many years.
