I think your approach is good and can work, but most are not content creators, they are consumers. Everyone wants the results of being an owner/creator, but most just don't have what it requires. There is nothing wrong with that of course, as it is a group of skills and personality involved. I can't sing or play an instrument, so regardless how much I would like the financial outcomes of being in a famous band, I will have to find another way to reach that goal. Since I am not tall or athletic, basketball is not it. And since I can't code an application, I am unlikely to make a viral game either.
