Everything is disposable now, including meaning. May things have become platitudes because they are the condensed result of a large amount of information, but people don't explore what lays behind them, making them meaningless.

An example I have used in the past is E=MC2. People can know what each piece is, but that doesn't mean they know what lays behind it or how to use it.
