How simple it would be, to be the seed on the wind,
No direction to choose, no possession to lose.
Only adventure without need, destination without greed,
To settle and grow, or be returned to the earth.
How easy it might seem, to float along the stream,
Taken where it turns, all the way to the sea.
To stare at the heavens, or to sink to the depths.
Out of sight and mind, washed into invisibility.
Spare me your time, and lend me your ear,
I have said it before, maybe this time they'll hear.
Like water their spines, and gravel their heart,
The highroad they travel, slippery slope at the start.
Be part of the Hive discussion.
And you may be rewarded.
