My wife heard about a "forest light walk" not too far from us and we decided to take Smallsteps, as it is ending tomorrow. We took her last year to a winter one with ice sculptures which she enjoyed and since we have very little else to do, this seemed like something.
It was... something.
Let's Disco.
It is not that it was bad, but it was just kind of well, a few random lights in the forest, with many looking more like Christmas decorations bought from a warehouse store. Yet, it is lucky that we got there early, because we had to wait for about 15 minutes to get in, but as we were leaving around 45 minutes later, there were literally thousands of people queuing.
It is kind of endearing what Finns are entertained by, but hey, we were there too.
I guess no one had much else to do on a Saturday night.
There was also a projection show onto a building close by, that was quite underwhelming, but Smallsteps enjoyed seeing some butterflies and ladybirds - and I got a picture of this bee.
And these spiders, which might make for a decent Halloween cover image.
But yes - following worksite LED ropes to see random lights in the forest doesn't really constitute an exciting experience.

But really,
I jest....
It wasn't all bad, because at least it got us out of the house and I was able to use my camera for more than taking pictures of a half-done kitchen.
Even if it was to see colored floodlights lighting tree trunks.
And more of that industrial LED rope, but this time, fashioned into ants.
And a large Christmas light bunny.

But hey, out of the house, fresh air and
10,000 steps for the first time since August, which goes to show how much I have been sitting around the house, either behind the PC screen working, or renovating the kitchen. Not too many steps needed. I need to change that. But, I am also having my first glass of wine for a few months also tonight, and that is good for my heart ;)
Tomorrow, the organizing of the new kitchen continues in earnest, after what will be our first meal cooked in there.

Luckily, there aren't many days she has any less than 20,000 steps.
