Sometimes we miss the exploration of the beauty of the nearest things attractions which require a very little amount of effort and the journey can be much more comfortable than the heavy effortful tours in the furthest area from the home. This weekend I have also come along with such an interesting place which is very near to my dorm; I guess it will be around 3/4 km and it is very easy to go there by cycling. And I wanted to pay a visit on Sunday afternoon which was actually noon as the weather was not so good with the cloudy whole day with a good possibility of rain. So, I have not taken the risk to get wet this spring which can bring cold and I may be ill. So, I went there when there was the least possibility of rain.
Oh, I forgot to introduce the place that I found very near to my home is the "Huairou City Forest Park" which is a large park in the city area and is a children's activity hub from the surrounding community. It is a beautiful park located in the northern city side area of Huairou city and opposite the Beijing Huairou Hospital. It is a perfect place for nature lovers and those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for a while with their family or to have a physical activity like running or spending some time with nature. The park is vast, covering a huge area, and offers a wide range of activities, specially for children. It is located about 60 kilometers away from Beijing city center as Beijing is far south from the Huairou district. The easiest way to get there is by public bus or train is also available. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from Beijing to Huairou, and then transfer to a local bus to the park which will be a much easier but costly alternative.
As it was a completely cloudy day the colors are more shadowy as spring just comes to the area and the complete fading of winter is still on the way! As spring is a season of renewal and rejuvenation when nature comes to life after the cold and dark winter months. And on this eve one of the most beautiful sights is the blooming of flowers, which adds color and fragrance to the world around us. Among the many places where one can enjoy the beauty of spring flowers are gardens, parks, and other outdoor spaces. And Huairou Forsest Park is one of the good places to explore them. Though for winter, still many flowers to bloom but I have seen a lot of flower gardens in the park.
This is the time when the sun begins to warm the earth and the days grow longer, and flowers start to bloom in a riot of colors. The soft pink and white petals of cherry blossoms are among the most iconic sights of the park. Plum blossoms, magnolias, and peach blossoms are also popular spring flowers in many parts of the world. In addition to the beauty of flowers, the fresh green leaves that sprout on trees and plants add another layer of beauty here.
Besides the new flowers and leaves, there is a large lake circulating a vast area that is now almost dried due to the lack of rain in the winter. But I can see some colorful fishes there and guess the lake will definitely increase extra beauty when it will start raining. There will be too much lotus in the coming season which I am going to explore here soon.
As I went there at noon around 2:00 pm, very fewer people were there but with the passage of time, I have seen more people gathering there with their families to spend quality time with nature. But I found a vast park with empty roads and benches most of the time there which has a different feeling and beauty itself!
In such parks and gardens, spring is a time of joy and activity for all classes of people as there is no entry fee to this beautiful and vast nature spot. Families and friends gather for picnics while children run around, playing games and exploring the natural world. The air is filled with laughter and the sounds of birds chirping and bees buzzing around the flowers in this park.
There I have also seen some amazing activities and some spots are properly designed for the children with a lot of free rides. And also there are enough empty spaces for flying kites and a proper place around for skating and many activities. There are enough resources for recreation for all ages of people who can enjoy their time here with fresh oxygen!
