It snowed here last night! Not much. It's all melted now. The kids were thrilled. The parents, pets, and livestock, less so.
Anyways, I've developed a horrific cough now, so I tried to take it easy today. I still picked away at my deck stairs for about an hour, cutting the last stringer and starting to assemble it. I'm short two 2x6x12' s, so I can't truly finish them until the next time someone makes a trip near the lumber yard.
Thursdays I've been trying to make a habit of taking my kids to the local public library after school. It might seem like a waste of fuel to some, but I think that encouraging a child to read, and to read lots, is a great investment.
We also got some groceries, filled our van with gas, and picked up the mail, so I made the trip a little more productive!

And no tanglebranch post would be complete without a sheep pic! When I did chores this morning and walked through the flock to check on everyone, Puddles followed me every step of the way. She's one of the newly re-introduced ewe lambs, was bottle fed, and is the sweetest creature on the face of the earth! I can't even claim her as my own, because I gifted her to my youngest daughter as the first ewe in her mini-flock. We took a selfie, but she was full of kisses and love and kept fogging up my glasses, so I wasn't sure how good it would turn out!
I think its ok :) except alfalfa breath. Folks, never kiss anybody if you've been fermenting alfalfa in your belly. They'll love you more if you restrain yourself.
