Hello everyone 👧.

Following our tour at Dataran Lang, we headed to SkyCab Langkawi, Kedah which is our second tourist attraction we going to visit at Langkawi Island. Getting there took us about more than 30 minutes by car and we arrived at our destination at 2.30 pm.

After parking our car, we walked to the ticketing counter immediately. Along the way to the ticketing counter, there are many shops and stalls. We only looked at them but did not purchase anything. My Mum was drawn to a stall selling soured food. My Brother promised my Mum that we would visit that stall after we finished our tour inside SkyCab Langkawi. In addition, the closing hour for this place is 6.00 p.m., so we should visit the attractions that we want to enjoy first.

We bought our tickets earlier on our mobile phones using the Klook app. We paid RM43.00 (USD 10) per ticket for local travel. The tickets include admission to Sky Cable Car, Sky Rex, Sky Dome and 3D Arts Museum. Out of 4 attractions, we only managed to visit 2 of them due to time constraints and many tourists visited there during the holiday season of December.

Tourists could redeem their hand-tagged tickets at a special counter that had bought tickets online. My Brother helped us get our tickets, and then we helped each other tag each ticket on our hands. Some of us are unable to tag the ticket with just one hand.

Sky Cable Car

Our first stop was the Sky Cable Car entrance. It is prohibited to bring water bottles into this venue. We had to throw away the water bottles from our bags in the nearest rubbish bin before entering the venue.

As we waited in line for the staff in charge of letting us in the cable car area, we noticed photo services available for tourists. However, it is with charges. In our case, we skipped this service.

According to a notice board we saw, each cable car or gondola must have 6 people. We began to worry that we might be separated from one another and sat in a gondola with strangers. Fortunately, the rules on the notice board were merely for show. 4 of us managed to sit in a gondola car without any strangers with us.

Sitting in a cable car was the first time for 2 of my younger siblings. They both had different experiences. My Brother was happy with it, whereas my Sister was a bit scared due to her fear of heights. My Brother and I are constantly teasing my Sister to look down to see the forest below us and do a bit of movement inside the gondola (though this is despite the sticker just beside us indicating not to move).

We followed the other tourists and walked out of the cable car to the first resting stop. On this spot, you can find a refreshment shop, a photography service, and a vantage point where you can see our surroundings.

The red bridge or Eagle Nest Skywalk is a new attraction at SkyCab Langkawi. This attraction is not accessible and is currently under construction.

Walk or Hike to Skybridge

From the first resting spot, we had to take the cable car again to reach the Skybridge area. During our visit there that time, it was sunny without strong wind, so this Skybridge is open for tourists to visit.

To visit the Skybridge, we need to pay an additional entrance fee. There are two ways to reach the Skybridge, either by walking or by using the SkyGlide. My Mum, who is a fan of hiking, bought the tickets for the nature trail route without asking anyone of us. In my opinion, I would rather have a leisure trip instead of working out to avoid any muscle pain. Furthermore, it was our second day of our travel trip that day and we still have 5 days remaining for our travel trips to other places.

Since we were about to walk to Skybridge, we bought water bottles from a convenient stall that was located there for RM3.00 (USD0.7) each, which is double the price that is being sold outside of the SkyCab Langkawi.

Seeing the entrance to the Skybridge area, most tourists prefer to use SkyGlide and only a few tourists use the nature trail.

The trail to the Skybridge is easier than I expected. It mostly involved walking downhill just before reaching the Skybridge area. While on the way to the Skybridge area, I began to think that it would be a hardcore to return back to the starting point.

Skybridge

It takes exactly 10 minutes to walk to the Skybridge area. Even though the Skybridge looks sturdy, when we walk on it, we can feel a bit of shakiness on it.

A glass floor on a Skybridge that we saw. Both my Brother and I did not feel any fear when we sat and stood on it. We teased our Sister again to force her to stand on this glass floor.

Based on my research on Google, it appears that the opposite view is southwest of Thailand. We just took our family photo with this view and paid a photography service for our family photo at the Skybridge.

End of our tour at Skybridge, we have to hike back to the starting point. In fact, we could use the SkyGlide to return to the starting point, but the line was too long. Having no patience, my Mum forced us to walk back to the starting point by following the nature trail.

It took us more than 20 minutes to get back to the starting point due to my weakness. Since I'm not used to hiking, I rested at 2 of the resting spots. Other than that, I'm walking so slowly that a couple of Japanese tourists have to follow me behind until I reach the starting point. I had offered the Japanese tourists to overtake me, but they were very kind and preferred to follow me behind. Perhaps they were worried about me since my face was quite pale at that time.

We having a last rest and toilet break before enter the cable car to back on the land below where we enter the cable car at first. Upon reaching the place, we passby a souvenir shop and end up buying a magnet tag for my collection.

Refreshment

Our bodies craved cold and sweet drinks after we exercised during our tour. My siblings and I were free to choose any restaurant to have our refreshments, but my Mum was of the opposite opinion. My Mum is a picky eater, so we just follow her. Our next attraction is the 3D Arts Museum. Then, we looked for a restaurant near the 3D Arts Museum where we could have our refreshments.

We found a mini zoo during our search for a restaurant that my Mum favors. There isn't enough time for us to visit there and we're not sure if there is an additional fee for entry to this mini zoo.

As a refreshment place, Mum chose a restaurant that served western food. We ordered cold mango juices and finger snacks to enjoy.

Below is the picture we paid from the photography services we hired at the Skybridge. The background of the picture was not from green screen and it's original.

3D Arts Museum

We enter the 3D Arts Museum after finishing our refreshments. Outside the door, we can already test and take pictures of a 3D Arts for free.

We have to leave our shoes at the counter as it is not allowed to wear shoes inside the museum.

One hour of visiting this 3D Arts Museum was insufficient. We were rushing to take photos because the PA system inside the building was constantly informing the tourists inside that the museum would close at 6.00 pm. To fully enjoy the 3D Arts in the museum, we would need to spend at least two hours there, including waiting time for other tourists to finish taking pictures.

Final walks

We have our last walks at any place that we haven't look in fast pace. I asked them whether we should have our dinner here. My Brother replied me saying that he will bring us to another tourist attraction at Pantai Cenang next and we will have our meal there.

There still got many attractions we did not manage to visit as we arrived late at the SkyCab Langkawi. I think a whole day is needed to enjoy all the attractions. Perhaps, if given the chance, we will return to SkyCab Langkawi to visit again in the future.

For your information, my Mum doesn't buy soured food from the stall outside. The stall was closed at that time.

That's all. Thanks for reading my post 🤗.
