TEXT: 1Timothy 1:15,
"This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners;of whom I am chief"
Good morning to @sirknight and to all parishoners of #steemchurch. This is another new week, the third day in the month of June. I wish you all the goodness in this month in Jesus name.
I bring to you another topic which is called "Story will change" Yes,I strongly believe that and I pray for somebody reading this that your story will change for good in Jesus name. Amen
Everyone has a story to tell but each stories are different. We all want our story to change from bad to worse, isn't it? If I am asked too, what do you think I would say? Definately it is Yes
When God created the Heaven and Earth,it was a pleasant story for human beings. In Genesis 1:1-3,it says,
*"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void;and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said,Let there be light:and there was light"
But the story changed when man fell from grace to grass, when man disobeyed God and He sent them away and place a curse on them that man began to wallow in pain, poverty, hopelessness etc.
Let us take a look at Mr Saul of Tarsus,he was a man who had grief for the church of God and started going from one house to the other to cast them into prison for preaching the word of God.(Acts 8:3). But one thing happened in his life that changed his story from being a persecutor to an Apostle of Christ.
On his way to Damascus, he met with the LORD Jesus Christ who stopped him on the road and blocked his way,and Jesus said,
"Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?"(Acts 9:4). Then his story changed from there instantly.
His name was changed to Paul and he made this testimonies to people that, "This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I an chief."(1Tim 1:15).
Another woman that God changed her story was the widow of Zarephath with her son. It happens that God wanted to feed Elijah, and He instructed him to go to Zarephath to meet a woman there that will provide for him. When he got there,he met the woman preparing the last meal she is going to eat with her son and die.
She lost hope and never thought that hope can still be revived for her but she had determined that they will die and was ready for it. When Elijah came,he told her to give her the food to eat. But hear what the woman said in 1Kings 17:12,
"And she said,As the LORD thy God liveth,I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse:and, behold,I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it,and die"
Elijah then instructed her to do somethings which after she has given him the remaining food to eat. The woman followed the instructions, and a woman who had nothing left in her house except for the handful of meal she was going to prepare, now has more than enough that even satisfied her with the son.
Her story changed from nothing to something in abundance.
However,at the appointed time,God Almighty made a way for all mankind to change this story. God made an unlimited grace to everyone that has come to Him. If only you can go to Him and He would be gracious to you to change your story back to better.
Your story can change because there is hope for you only if you give your life to Christ and He cleanse you from every sin in you just like He did for Saul and was later called Paul.
Jabez had a bad story before he prayed to God for help and God changed his story to good(1Chronicles 4:10). Also the man who was born blind,God changed his story after encountering the Lord Jesus Christ (John 9:25).
All these I am saying is that before your story can be changed, there is only one condition you must meet before that can be done. It is just for you to encounter with God and He will surely make way for you.
This is another month of June, where stories will be changed for people who will truly accept Christ and be for Him always.
Remember the great sin Saul committed before God made an encounter with him and he was forgiven that was why he was able to give that testimony. I pray that you will also have testimonies this month and beyond in Jesus name. Amen.
HAPPY NEW WEEK
