DIY handmade was our main activity for this winter period. When you're waiting for the greatest holiday in the year, there is no mood to do anything except of getting pleasure from this atmosphere.
Making holiday handmade is a perfect hobby for this time, so we left Maths, Russian, Nature studying and devoted our time to DIY.
We had many new ideas, and I was in love that my son has so many new interests and wishes to try something new.
This time he tried his hands in getting DIY skills with chenille wire. It was really new for both of us, so we watched some videos and then tried to create New Year tree decorations of it.
It was really interesting and rather easy to do! Decorations are nice, soft, it's easy to make them, and fast! Kids of this age can't wait for 1-2 hours till they get anything, they need faster results, and chenille wire is a great way for it;)
We made some different types of decorations, and it seems to me we became real friends with this kind of handmade activity;)

We used almost all our wire for it!
and we spent about 1 hour together making it, but it's so bright and so nice that we both are in love with result;)
