This week I abandoned all my projects and did something completely different.
The fact is that in the year the pandemic began, we had to undergo training for a 2-month course. But due to the virus everything was cancelled. 😭
And now we were again invited to take these courses, since now everything is open again. We have very little time left to take care of the gifts. We like that everyone who will study with us, went home with a little sign of attention from us. Last time we also worked on this - we came up with crochet funny sheep. We finished the required number of them at that time, but the courses were cancelled. Now we have checked how many of these sheep we have left. During the pandemic period, we gave some of the sheep to our friends. Therefore, we need to crochet sheep again.
We already know that we need a little more than 20 sheep. We have more than half and 9 more pieces to be done. I already forgot how to crochet sheep and I had to find it again. So, first we crochet the body: we collect 6 loops and we crochet according to the “magic circle” pattern for the back of the loop. Then I crochet 5 sts into each of the front sts of the round to make a curly lamb.
I have leftover yarn of different colors and I use this. These lambs are made of brown and beige yarn. Separately, we crochet the muzzles of sheep.
My husband participates with me. His task is to sew on bead eyes and make a nose out of black yarn. Then I sew the heads to the bodies. It should look something like this:
After I sew on the heads, my husband sews on the legs with yarn and beads or buttons for the hooves.
We make sheep not the same: some sheep stand on two hooves and others on four.
We already have half of the nine sheep we need. Still need to finish five sheep to the full number. 😀
