Hello! Let me just share to you how happy I am with this drawing I will be sharing today. This is my first semi-realistic drawing of LiSA since 2018. I have also posted two drawings of LiSA here on my Takyarts account, here are the links if you want to check them:

LiSA or Risa Oribe in real life is a Japanese singer known for singing anime songs. Last year, her song Homura for Demon Slayer Mugen Train film won Japan's Song of the Year 2020. From being a vocalist to indie bands, she debuted as a solo artist under Sony Music Japan in April 2011.
She is currently celebrating her 10th anniversary through the release of her third mini album, LADYBUG. LiSA does a lot of appearances and interviews on Japanese television, magazine, and radio whenever she releases new songs; and aside from her beautiful face, people look forward to her outfits and hairstyle. One that had really captured my attention and would make me uneasy if I hadn't drew it was this:

LiSA LADYBUG part two
What first caught my eyes was the humongous red twirl hair on her head (that alone makes me want to draw her) then her colorful and patchy-patterned coat. For her inner clothing, she wore a red bralette and completed her look with silver accessories.
This outfit was reminiscent to her outfit from her LiTTLE DEViL PARADE album. I've also made a drawing of it because she just looked adorable on that album. Both of her coats have colorful and unique design. I find really adorable and stylish and no matter how much I despise drawing her outfits (because there's lots details), I just can't help to avoid this one. Must! Draw!
(I translated her caption on her Instagram post with Google Translator and it says her coat was made especially for her 10th anniversary and it serves like her armor. Ain't that cool?)
LiSA uploaded a couple of poses with this outfit and this one right here is what I've chosen because she looks very cool on this pose. She looks serious here, very spunky and badass.
It took me some few days to finish this drawing but I don't mind really since I like the result and it's LiSA, my favorite artist. This is still a progress for me because my first semi-realistic drawing of LiSA took me one week.

My skill and knowledge about shadows and highlights are not the best but I'm still satisfied with how I did for this drawing. I also have to trim her face on the right because I made her right cheek a bit thicker. Lol. Drawing the eyes, lashes, and adding shadows around it are my favorite part when drawing the face. Eyes are the first thing which gets noticed on a face so I want to make it look beautiful as much as possible.
Ah, the details of her coat. Good thing I'm quite a patient person. I tried to look for her other photos where she wore this coat to have a full look on some of the prints on her coat. I surely missed some details though I think it's already good.
I also think I messed up adding the shadows and highlights on those tiny metal studs though it looks okay from afar. What I like, on the other hand, was the naked lady body pendant of her necklace. I had fun adding highlights to it.
Drawing Process
This is not to brag but I had an easy time drawing the rough sketch. (Just the rough sketch! 😂) Maybe I'm just lucky. Drawing the details of her coat was the most difficult and most time-consuming part. I did save more WIPs this time to further see my drawing progress.
I blurred some of the edges to soften its overall look. For the background, I used a shade of red with some orange and yellow gradient on the side to complement her red hair color. I know some would choose a different color to make her hair stand out but you know, I'm quite experimental right now. And who said you can't put red on red? Hehe. But I think her hair is a little bit pinkish.

LiSA is always a joy to draw for me even though the details of her clothes and makeup are quite exhausting to draw most of the time. ❤️
