The month of December strongly reflects the changing colors. In this month we get a chance to wrap up the memories of the past year and welcome the new year. Somewhere in the heart there is also a sadness that we have not been able to do much this year. And there is also happiness that we are going to do a lot in the new year.
Looking at the changing colors of autumn, we feel confident to enter the year with the desire to change ourselves.
You must have guessed from my opening two paragraphs that we will be talking about December.
First of all, I would like to talk about Christmas. As I told you in my previous article, the Christian community lives right in front of my house, so I have the opportunity to interact with them.
In the days of december, i always have seen my Grandmother (Amma ji) while knitting warm clothes for homies. She keeps herself busy in the wintery nights and days of December. I love to sit by her and i hear stories from her life.
Sitting with grandmother (Amma ji) is really blessing and i feel that i am privileged that our Amma ji is with us to share wisdom from the gallery of her life experience.
She also teaches my sisters about knitting process and my sisters also have learned now. While writing this blog, my mind is now loaded with my Grandma thoughts, i am missing her stories and all those prayers(Duas).
I know that you would be scratching your head out of curiosity that how december can be green as it's month of fall. But, here fields look green with mustard leaves and plants. Yellow flowers over these greeny plants look so beautiful and honey bees surround them.
I love to stroll around these green fields of mustard. This time is also time harvasting of crops. You see, so many things are happening in December.
In Punjab, Mustard's food dish (Sag) is highly famous. Even December/winter season is incomplete with this food dish. Also it's my favorite one.
