This quarantine life is becoming boring with each passing day. I had decided to go out today for a short walk and buy some groceries as well but the authorities had ordered to close every store today, so, I came back empty-handed. I was told to go back home just when I stepped foot on the main road. I couldn't take any pictures as my walk was cut short. I was just browsing through my phone's gallery and found some old pictures, so I decided to share those instead.
This is almost a year old walk when I went to Mansbal Lake, located in Ganderbal. Ganderbal is a district in the northern part of Kashmir.
It was sunset time and I managed to click a few beautiful shots with my friend's phone. This was the first time, I visited this place.
Look how beautiful this sunset looks. It was a treat to the eye. There was some waste material in the lake but the beauty of the lake at the time of sunset won me over. The locals said that they do clean it from time to time.
There is this bridge over which you can walk and get close to the freshwater lake. A few people were walking on it and it was so calm and refreshing there that I would have spent my whole night there sleeping on that bridge.
People were roaming around the lake on shikaras(boats). I saw a few families who were having a great time.
There is this lane over which people were walking and heading towards the lake.
Apart from the lake, there is a big garden as well. The garden was very clean and well maintained by the staff. Lots of people were sitting in the garden on the benches.
Mansbal Lake is a good place to spend an evening as it looks like gold at that time of the day. It is also a great place to watch birds as plenty of bird species keep flying there.
I hope you liked the pictures.
