Add some features to sky tube

Components

Sky tube is an open source android app which is an alternative for YouTube. In sky tube you can watch video you wish and the channels you subscribe to. You can bookmark your videos and also share videos on different platforms. You can also copy the links of the videos and share them and also download the videos as well from apps like snaptube.

Proposal

In skytube you can see a lot of features in it like keep bookmarks and share video and also change orientation based on you liking by keeping it portrait or landscape or anything you like. But there are a few improvements that I would like to see in skytube.

• Switch to popup.
  This feature can be implemented in the the app to see videos while you are on different screen rather than in the app itself.
• Switch to background
  Switch to background feature can be used for listening to the audio from the app in the background.

Here I've presented a few examples for both these features. Below is how these options should be implemented. By pressing the options icon whilst playing the video these options should popup.

In the image below I've presented an example of how popup feature should look like once implemented.

And here in the image below is an example of background play feature for the app.

Benefits

The benefits of these features will be as follows.

• The popup feature for the app will be helpful in a way that you can continue with your work on your smartphone at the same time you would be watching the video. This will help you save your time while browsing or chatting or doing some other stuff on your device and also keep an eye on the video you wish to watch. The popup could be sorted as well to either keep the screen small or large based on your preferences.
• The background play as the name suggests will make your video play in the background as an audio. If there is not any visuals in it you can just play the video in background and listen to it while using your phone on different things for different purposes. Or you may just wish to only listen to the audio and prefer not to see the video. You can, in that case, use this background play feature.

These are little improvements/features which will definitely make the app better and user friendly. I would like to see these features implemented in the skytube soon.
