Normally people point out that the two negatives make a positive:
- (-5) = +5
While this is true, I'll try to explain it an other way.
Explained with algebra
15 - 5 = 10
You can write this as:
15 + (-5) = 10
Now subtract -5 from both sides:
15 + (-5) - (-5) = 10 - (-5)
It's clear that by adding and then subtracting -5 from 15, the answer will be 15:
15 + (-5) - (-5) = 15
That shows that:
10 - (-5) = 15
So Its Answer is 15..
