Imam Ibnul Jauzi Rahimahullah revealed in a treatise, named Laftatul Kabid Nashihatul Walad, containing advice to his son, as an incentive to keep his son in time. He said, "Know my son that these days are unfolded into a collection of clocks, hours spread into a collection of breaths, and every breath sounds like a cupboard, so beware that the breath does not pass, without benefit and benefit, on the Day of Resurrection you will find the cupboard empty so that you are sorry! Look at your time, what do you use it, do not let it pass, except for the noblest of affairs Do not abandon your souls Get used to the most commendable practice. And, arise to prepare your savings in the grave later, so that you will be happy when you get there. "
Many of us who have not been able to utilize his time well, especially when it comes to long holiday. When the night is late, his work chatted with no benefit. Or, just playing games that only lead to the futility. In the afternoon, then work is just sleep. In the afternoon, they are in a market corner or river bank.
Narrated by Bukhari in Sahih XI: 229, Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah, from Ibn Abbas RA, he said: The Prophet (s) said, "Two blessings that many humans are deceived in both, healthy and leisure."
Time is a great gift and a great gift. Only great people who get taufik from God who is able to know, then use it as optimally as possible. As it is suggested in the hadith, "Many people are deceived in both." That means, people who are able to take advantage of time is very little. Most humans are just negligent and deceived in using it.
Do not let the cupboard empty when you open it in the hereafter. The world is a field for the Hereafter. Inside there is a trade that will look tomorrow's profit tomorrow. Anyone who is able to use his spare time and his healthy time to obey God, then he is the one who is happy. And, anyone who uses it to masiat to God, then he is the one who losers.
