¡Hola, querida comunidad!
Hello, dear community! We have reached the end of a month that has been a real emotional rollercoaster. August brought me dreams come true and afternoons filled with laughter, but also forced pauses that reminded me just how vulnerable we are. To accompany this acrostic—as is customary on this blog—I am using images that capture the essence of my days. Each letter represents a phrase that defines my experiences:
This month, I began to turn a long-held wish into reality: studying English at a language school. I’ve been at it for a few weeks now and am absolutely delighted; I love my teachers and my classes—each instructor brings a unique teaching method that enriches my education. I love learning because knowledge is something no one can take away from you; it is a powerful tool that opens doors in the literary world, offers the chance to travel to other countries, and enables you to communicate with people from diverse cultures. Beyond being a communications professional, I am—without a doubt—an eternal learner.
Not everything was perfect this month, as sometimes life simply hits the pause button for us. My nephew Lian came to visit, and along with his cuteness, he ended up passing hand, foot, and mouth disease on to me. I was sick for a week, which forced me to stop writing and vlogging, and to miss my beloved English class. However, I realized that recovery isn't a waste of time, but rather an investment in life itself.
Fortunately, it wasn't all about staying in bed. I also had wonderful moments of unplugging, like when I went to the cinema with my cousins to see the new Spider-Man movie—check it out here. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the story, but above all, I loved witnessing the genuine chemistry between Zendaya and Tom Holland on screen.
I also went on a solo movie date to reconnect with my inner child; I watched and reviewed Toy Story 5—read it here.
My week of bed rest made me reflect deeply on the importance of allowing ourselves to be cared for. During those days of fever and feeling unwell, I realized that my family's support was the balm that helped me regain my strength and stay calm.
I feel like I’m currently moving through an energy akin to "The High Priestess": observing, analyzing, and studying my life, while understanding that true growth lies in our ability to reinvent ourselves.
As I wrap up the month, I recognize that healing and moving forward happen in many ways: mastering a new language, resting when I’m sick, or simply writing an honest reflection on my blog.
August reminded me that it’s fine to have a thousand plans, but God and the Universe are the ones who decide and act in the interest of our well-being; that’s why we have to trust the path that is already written.
Thank you for reading and for being part of this journey in community. And what about you—how did you experience this month of August?
